Within easy reach of the historic Welsh capital Machynlleth and the famous sailing village of Aberdyfi lying 500 yards off the A493 road linking Machynlleth and Pennal with Aberdyfi and Tywyn, Penmaendyfi is ideally located for a wide range of activities and experiences.

You can walk from Penmaendyfi into the mountains, Happy Valley offering well-known walks. Or drive to Cader Idris and the Tal-y-Llyn lake. The Talyllyn steam railway also provides access to mountain walks.

It’s a short drive to the sea. Aberdyfi offers a host of water sports, a links golf course set among the dunes.Further along is Tywyn, an old-fashioned seaside town with famous honey ice-cream!

Nearby is the historic town of Machynlleth and the world famous Alternative Technology Centre, a visit you’ll never forget.

And five minutes from us, a full-equipped sports and health centre. But that’s only if you can tear yourself away from Penmaendyfi. And few people can!
